The new capital of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati is gaining an all-round attention from various global companies and bosses – all thanks to the efficient administration of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. After attracting multi-national companies to build infrastructure for new capital, the agriculture sector in state has now invited the attention of one of the largest private foundation in the world – Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMFG).
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, established and by former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates has formally agreed to extend their assistance to the ‘Agriculture sector’ in Andhra Pradesh State. While working on testing of soil and designing a profile on various lands in Africa, the Foundation used an advanced technology which they are likely to bring to Andhra Pradesh as well.
Once they get complete overview of their research in Africa, Melinda and Gates Foundation will initiate to offer suggestions for farmers in Andhra Pradesh. According to reports, the research team with help of advanced technology will propose the suited seed for farmers based on the profile of various lands, eventually help in enhancing the fertility of their fields.
The foundation has reportedly come forward to work with Andhra Pradesh State Government and in this regard, a two-day event ‘AP Smart Land Holder’ has been scheduled for this month-end. Founder Bill Gates will be the chief guest for this event in Amaravati.
